German shares lose 0.83 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, March 26 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 99.05 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 11,787.26 points.

European health care company Fresenius SE lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.21 percent, followed by renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 2.31 percent and 2.27 percent respectively.

Automotive manufacturer BMW, Volkswagen and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement were the top three winners, rising 1.52 percent, 1.13 percent and 0.69 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 309.96 million euros (384.69 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
