Bulgaria arrests Briton wanted for pedophilia in U.S.

SOFIA, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian authorities have arrested a British citizen wanted by Interpol since 2011 for sexual crimes against children in the United States, officials said here on Friday.

The investigation, conducted jointly with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's office in Bulgaria, revealed that the suspect changed his name and identity papers, and radically altered his appearance, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

During his detention, the authorities discovered and seized three computers used for downloading and distributing pornographic content with the participation of children who were visibly younger than 10, the statement said.
