NEW YORK, March 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks plummeted on Thursday, with the Dow sinking over 700 points, after U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose tariffs on imported Chinese products.

At the close, the Dow slumped 2.93 percent to 23,957.89, and the S&P 500 lost 2.52 percent to 2,643.69, while the Nasdaq dropped 2.43 percent to 7,166.68. Enditem
