British stocks down 0.32 pct Wednesday

LONDON, March 21 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 22.30 points or 0.32 percent at 7,038.97 points.

Evraz, an international steel and mining company, soared 3.35 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Antofagasta and London Stock Exchange Group rose by 2.88 percent and 2.82 percent, respectively.

Kingfisher, the Europe's leading home improvement retailer, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 10.69 percent. WPP, the British multinational advertising and public relations company, dropped 3.14 percent.
