Bolivia promote youth for Curacao friendlies

  LA PAZ, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Bolivia coach Mauricio Soria has named teenage midfielders Jhon Garcia and Franz Gonzales in his squad for friendlies against Curacao later this month.

  Garcia impressed Soria with his performances for Chile's Huachipato while fellow 17-year-old Gonzales has been in fine form with Bolivian side Sport Boys.

  Bolivia will play Curacao on March 23 and 26 in the Caribbean Island's capital of Willemstad.

  The average age of Bolivia's squad is just 23.5 as Soria attempts to rebuild his squad with an eye on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  

   Bolivia are currently ranked 47th in the world while Curazao are ranked 83rd.  Bolivia squad:    

   Goalkeepers: Carlos Lampe (Huachipato), Ruben Cordano (Blooming)

   Defenders: Diego Bejarano, Erwin Saavedra, Pablo Pedraza (Bolivar), Luis Haquin, Gustavo Olguin (Oriente Petrolero), Jose Sagredo (Blooming), Juan Pablo Aponte (Wilstermann), Jordy Candia (Sport Boys), Maximiliano Ortiz (The Strongest)
