2018 Chinese Pool World Championship to kick off in SE China county on 26th

BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Chinese Pool World Championship will kick off on March 26th in southeastern China's Yushan county, Jiangxi province.
This year's championship offers a total prize money of three million RMB (about 474,285 U.S. dollars). More than 400 players from 43 countries and regions will gather in Yushan in the pursuit of the title, including 2005 Snooker World Championship winner Shaun Murphy, 2016 Chinese Pool World Championship winner Chen Siming.
This is the fourth straight year for the southeast county to hold this Chinese pool tournament of the highest level. Since the debut of the tournament in 2015, the number of participating countries and regions has grown from 23 to 43 while number of players has increased from 304 to over 400. The year 2016 witnessed the first time the championship held its qualifying matches oversea in Virginia, America.
"Chinese Pool World Championship is very influential, we'll do our best to promote Chinese pool worldwide, letting more people know and enjoy this sport." Said Maxime Cassis, vice chairman of International Billiards and Snooker Federation at Tuesday's press conference. Enditem
