GUANGZHOU, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The in-form Ricardo Goulart scored four goals, preventing Guangzhou Evergrande from a home defeat in the third round of Group G of AFC Champions League as they came from behind to beat Jeju United 5-3 from 2-0 down.

Evergrande only collected 2 points from the previous two rounds. Evergrande's coach Fabio Cannavaro reshuffled the pack, benching Feng Xiaoting and fielding Zhang Chenglin, while captain Zheng Zhi and Zeng Cheng returned to the starting line-up after long-time injury.

Jeju United broke the deadlock on 19 minute as Jung DaHwon fired an angled drive after mazy runs down the right, Zeng Cheng parried the ball into the air, Jin Seonguk nodded it easily in a close range.

Jeju United made it two 10 minutes later as Magno Cruz's volley beat Zeng Cheng again.

Evergrande were unlucky when Yu Hanchao's attempt rattled the woodwork twice before Zhang Chenglin's shot smacked the bar.

The two-time champion finally found the net on the stroke of half-time, Alan finished off a series of ricochets from a corner kick by a half-volley.

Evergrande pulled themselves back on level terms just 7 minutes after the break when Yu Hanchao controlled a lobbed pass from Zheng Zhi, his first shot was denied by goalkeeper Lee Chang Geun, but Goulart followed to slot into the net.

Evergrande turned around the game 5 minutes later when Gao Lin was sent clear, Cho Yonghyung dived in with a mistimed tackle on him in the box, Goulart sent the penalty into the right corner, sending Lee Chang Geun wrong-footed.

Evergrande extended the lead on 86 minute as Jeju United were caught out on the counter attack and Gao Lin's pass found Goulart who completed his hat-trick with a daisy-cutter.

Goulart continued his wreak havoc in the stoppages when he looped the ball into the net from the edge of the box.

Jeju United also pulled one goal back in the dying minutes with Lee Changmin's missile for 5-3.

The win, coupled with Cerezo Osaka's loss against Buriram United, moved Evergrande to the top of the group with 5 points.  Enditem
