BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- A 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit the Gulf of Alaska, U.S. at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 55.87 degrees north latitude and 149.35 degrees west longitude. Enditem
