China says foreign direct investment up 7.9 pct in 2017

BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Chinese mainland rose 7.9 percent year on year to 877.56 billion yuan (136.33 billion U.S. dollars), the Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday.

In December, the country's FDI stood at 73.94 billion yuan, down 9.2 percent from the same period a year ago. Enditem
