Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.77 percent to 3,436.59 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.7 percent higher at 11,386.91 points. Enditem
