BUCHAREST -- Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose announced his resignation late Monday, after the leadership of the ruling Social Democratic Party had voted to withdraw the political support for him.

BOGOTA -- At least 10 people were killed on Monday when a bridge under construction in central Colombia collapsed.

Another two people were missing and four others were injured when the structure fell along a tract of a highway that links the capital Bogota with the nearby city of Villavicencio, officials said. (Colombia-Bridge Collapse)h - - - -

KABUL -- A rocket was fired into a diplomatic district in central Kabul Monday night, leaving no casualties, an Interior Ministry official said.

The attack occurred at around 8:10 p.m. (1540 GMT), and the rocket struck street 14 of Wazir Akbar Khan, Police District 10 of the city, but caused no casualties, spokesman of the ministry Najib Danish tweeted shortly after the blast. (Afghanistan-Rocket Attack)

ATHENS -- A moderate earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted Athens on Monday, according to the Greek Geodynamic Institute which revised downwards preliminary estimates.
