LJUBLJANA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- A foreign citizen has been arrested at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport on suspicion of having brought five migrants with false passports on a flight from Turkey, local media reported Friday.

The local Kranj Police Department said the suspect arrived at the airport on a plane from Turkey at the beginning of the week with five other foreigners who carried false documents, the Slovenian Press Agency said.

The suspected attempt at illegal migration was discovered at border controls, the police said, and the suspect, who had a permit to reside in the EU, was brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday and was remanded in custody. Enditem
