HONG KONG, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 292.15 points, or 0.94 percent, to 31,412.54 points on Friday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 31,198.36 and 31,412.54. Turnover totaled 139.00 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 17.77 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
