German shares lose 0.59 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 78.44 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 13,202.90 points.

German multinational software corporation SAP lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.11 percent, followed by housing association Vonovia and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom, which lost 2.45 percent and 1.93 percent respectively.

Commerzbank, multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and multinational chemical firm Linde were the top three winners, rising 1.82 percent, 1.49 percent and 1.19 percent respectively.

SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 393.50 million euros (472.86 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
