NAIROBI, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Thursday.

-- Kenyans waited with bated breath on Wednesday evening for President Uhuru Kenyatta to announce his much-awaited Cabinet. Anxiety has for the last five days been building among the 13 Cabinet secretaries whose names were missing from a list read last Friday.

Kenyatta jets out of the country Thursday evening for South Africa and there was expectation he would announce his cabinet before departure. His style of keeping everybody guessing has unsettled both his friends and foes. (The Standard)
