LONDON -- The World Bank (WB) warned on Tuesday that a failure to reach a "smooth" deal for Britain to leave the European Union (EU) could pose a serious risk to Europe's economic recovery in 2018.

RABAT -- An inclusive approach is needed to tackle migration issue, African government officials stressed Tuesday in the ministerial conference for an African agenda on migration.
Speaking at the ministerial meeting, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita said African agenda on migration is meant to make migration issue a lever for co-development, a pillar of South-South cooperation and a vector of solidarity. DAMASCUS -- The Syrian government forces have been fighting the al-Qaida-linked Levant Liberation Committee (LLC) on key fronts in southern and northwestern Syria, just as the Islamic State (IS) militants have lost all of their strongholds in Syria.
The LLC, otherwise known as the Nusra Front, has a big presence in the northwestern province of Idlib and in the eastern countryside of the capital Damascus, in a region called the Eastern Ghouta. (Syria-Terrorists)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday welcomed an agreement between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and South Korea to work to ease military tensions.
"The Secretary-General welcomes the progress made during the high-level inter-Korean talks on January 9, particularly the agreement to work to ease military tensions, hold military-to-military talks, and reopen the inter-Korean military hotline," said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN chief, in a statement.
