VIENNA, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Positive economic developments in Austria have led to a record 532,500 new jobs available in 2017, the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS) said in a press release on Tuesday.

These available positions registered at the AMS were 68,821 higher than in 2016, an increase of 14.8 percent.

71.2 percent of the jobs were full-time, 19.1 percent part-time, and the remainder an option of either of these two.

The positive developments were seen in almost all sectors of the job market, including the "other economic services" sector (up 14.6 percent), gastronomy and accommodation (up 6.7 percent), and trade (up 16 percent).

The boost in available jobs was seen across all states in the country. Enditem
