Chicago agricultural futures mixed in morning trading

CHICAGO, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities were trading mixed on Tuesday morning with soybean futures falling over Argentine rain.
As of 1548 GMT, March corn was 1.25 cent up at 3.485 U.S. dollars per bushel, March wheat was 1.5 cent up at 4.2925 dollars while March soybeans were down 4.5 cents at 9.6225 dollars per bushel.
Soybeans have seen a downturn as rainfall moves into growing areas of Argentina under longtime dry and hot weather influence. Moisture will improve crop prospects there thus pushed down CBOT prices.
Additional pressure on soybeans came from expectations that the U.S. Department of Agriculture will probably reduce its forecast for 2017-2018 sales in Friday's supply and demand estimates report.
Corn and wheat futures rallied following losses in the previous session. Enditem
