German shares gain 0.36 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks gained on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 48.14 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 13,367.78 points.

German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.64 percent. Automotive manufacturer BMW and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 1.47 percent and 1.40 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.05 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 went down by 0.64 percent and 0.61 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 349.85 million euros (418.87 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
