Leader Guangsha gets second straight win in CBA

BEIJING, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- With Courtney Fortson's team-high 35 points, leader Guangsha got its second straight victory after beating Guangzhou 129-119 in the 25th round action of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.
The visiting Guangsha one point behind in the first quarter and won 14 points in the key second quarter which made Guangsha lead to the end.
20-year-old Hu Jinqiu, Guangsha's future superstar, got 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guangzhou's Tyler Hansbrough got a game-high 37 points, and former Thunder player in NBA Semaj Christon got 31 points.
Although Darius Adams pocketed 42 points, defending champion Xinjiang still snapped its three-game winning streak after being defeated by Sichuan with 96-105.
Xinjiang led the game in the first half, but lost 9 points in the third quarter and never reversed in the last quarter.
Sichuan's Hamed Haddadi got team-high 26 points and 11 rebounds, Ike Diogu and Meng Da each got 19 points. Xinjiang's Li Gen and Sun Tonglin got 14 and 12 points.
Elsewhere, Fujian smashed Tianjin 129-102, Guangdong beat Bayi 97-78, Shandong defeated Jilin 127-105, Shenzhen edged Jiangsu 100-97, Beijing beat Shanxi 125-112, Zhejiang smashed Qingdao 106-92, Liaoning edged Tongxi 117-114. Enditem
