TUNIS, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Export volume accounts for one third of Tunisia's GDP in 2017, which achieved growth of 4.1%, said the Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, who chairs the High Council of Export, on Thursday.

"Export remains one of our major challenges and a priority for the 2018 financial year," Chahed said at the inauguration of the first meeting of this Council.

In this regard, Chahed announced a plan to take a series of measures to promote export, mainly simplification of procedures and financing of certain exports.

The meeting came, according to Youssef Chahed, at a crucial period for the Tunisian national economy. Enditem
