Spanish shares drop 0.49 pct Friday

MADRID, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.49 percent or 49.20 points, to close at 10,043.90 points.

A total of 25 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Spain's energy company Repsol went down 1.93 percent, followed by renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa and airport operator AENA that lost 1.85 percent and 0.94 percent respectively.

Real estate company Inmobiliaria Colonial advanced 1 percent, being the top gainer of the blue chips. Electricity supplier R.E.C. was up 0.97 percent and supermarket chain DIA rose 0.37 percent. Enditem
