Dollar stays in lower 113 yen zone amid thin trading

TOKYO, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the lower 113 yen zone Wednesday in Tokyo amid thin trading before the New Year holiday.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 113.18-19 yen compared with 113.18-28 yen in New York and 113.28-30 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It moved between 113.15 yen and 113.38 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1866-1867 dollars and 134.30-34 yen against 1.1853-1863 dollars and 134.23-33 yen in New York and 1.1872-1873 dollars and 134.49-53 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Enditem
