Japan's jobless rate edges down to 2.7 pct in November

TOKYO, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Japan's unemployment rate dropped to 2.7 percent in November, the government said in a report on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the current reading follows the unemployment rate standing at 2.8 percent a month earlier.

Separately, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said Tuesday that job availability in Japan improved to 1.56 from 1.55 in October.

This marks the highest level since January 1974 and means that there were 156 positions available for every 100 job seekers in the recording period. Enditem
