Turkish president arrives in Khartoum as part of African tour

KHARTOUM, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum as part of an African tour that will also take him to Chad and Tunisia.

According to a program distributed by Sudan's Foreign Ministry, Erdogan is scheduled to hold talks later on the day with his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir.

The two countries will also sign a number of agreements to boost cooperation between them in various fields.

A Sudanese-Turkish economic forum would be convened during the visit, to be attended by Sudanese and Turkish businessmen during which the two sides would sign a number of trade agreements. President al-Bashir and Erdogan will address the forum. Enditem
