PSV sign Argentine striker Romero

THE HAGUE, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV signed Argentine striker Maximiliano Romero from Velez Sarsfield, the Eindhoven based club announced on Thursday.

The 18-year-old Romero signed a contract until mid-2023, which starts on July 1 next year. PSV pay the Argentine club Velez Sarsfield 10.5 million euros (12.5 million U.S. dollars). If PSV decide to sell Romero Velez get 10 percent of the future transfer fee.

Romero already played 39 matches in the highest Argentine league, in which he scored 8 times. This season he scored 4 times in 10 matches.

"He is a very talented player," said PSV's technical manager on the website of the club. "With him we invest in the future of PSV." Enditem
