French shares drop 0.56 pct on Wednesday

PARIS, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.56 percent, or 30.14 points, to close at 5,352.77 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 34 lost in the day.

French multinational hotel group Accor was down 1.73 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer Stmicroelectronics lost 1.60 percent. French luxury group Kering lost 1.59 percent.

TechnipFMC, a UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services,rose 3.45 percent. French multinational automotive supplier VALEO gained 0.83 percent. Luxembourg-based multinational steel manufacturing corporation Arcelormittal up 0.47 percent. Enditem
