Indonesian Prasetyo takes sole lead at Hainan Chess Open

HAIKOU, China, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Sugeng Prasetyo of Indonesia scored four victories in a row as the "Belt and Road" 2017 Hainan Chess Open concluded its fourth round matches in Sanya, South China's Hainan province on Wednesday.

Prasetyo defeated Zhang Yonglong of China to keep his record intact, taking the sole lead with four points against other players from six countries.

Chasing behind is China's Xu Yang with a score of 3.5 points, after beating his compatriot Wang Zijian on Wednesday.

Kicking off on Dec. 17, the Hainan Chess Open will run till Dec. 26, featuring some 60 players from Australia, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, the United States and host China to vie for a total prize of 380,000 RMB (about 57,000 US dollars). Enditem
