Ukraine's Naftogaz posts 15 pct profit growth in January-September

Xinhua,December 20, 2017 Adjust font size:

KIEV, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's state-run energy company Naftogaz increased its net profit by 15 percent in January-September of 2017, the company said on Tuesday.

In the first nine months this year, the profits of the company reached about 972 million U.S. dollars, driven by increased revenues from the gas transit and extraction, Naftogaz said in a statement posted on its website.

The sectors of crude oil and gas condensate procession and transportation have also contributed to the profit growth, it said.

Naftogaz, Ukraine's largest state company, has turned into profit in 2016 for the first time in six years.

The company ended 2016 with a profit of 807 million dollars compared with a 1.4 billion-dollar loss a year before. Enditem
