Dollar changes hands in mid-112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely unchanged from its levels overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 12.58-59 yen compared with 112.49-59 yen in New York and 112.67-68 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1783-1783 dollars and 132.65-66 yen against 1.1777-1787 dollars and 132.54-64 yen in New York and 1.1780-1781 dollars and 132.73-77 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
