NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted 100km E of Nishinoomote, Japan at 23:28:28 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 7.41 km, was initially determined to be at 30.6862 degrees north latitude and 132.0501 degrees east longitude. Enditem
