Spanish shares gain 0.92 pct Monday

MADRID, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.92 percent, or 93.70 points, to close at 10,244.10 points.

A total of 34 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Insurance company Mapfre advanced 2.67 percent, followed by consultancy and technology company Indra A and Spain's fourth largest bank Banco Sabadell that rose 2.48 percent and 2.37 percent respectively.

Media company Mediaset went down 0.31 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Meanwhile, world's leading retailer Inditex advanced 0.18 percent and electricity supplier R.E.C. was up 0.19 percent. Enditem
