JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- South Africa Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa was elected Monday as the new president of the country's ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC).

Ramaphosa got 2,440 votes, beating Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma's 2,261 votes, while David Mabuza won the position of ANC deputy president, according to local TV, the SABC News. Enditem
