German shares gain 1.59 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 208.74 points, or 1.59 percent, to close at 13,312.30 points.

All 30 blue chips gained today. Deutsche Bank won the most, with its shares up 3.25 percent. Energy group RWE and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel rose by 3.17 percent and 2.30 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share with a turnover of 341.43 million euros (402.71 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
