Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, marginally higher than its levels late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.74-75 yen compared with 112.57-67 yen in New York and 112.15-16 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1743-1743 dollars and 132.38-39 yen against 1.1745-1755 dollars and 132.27-37 yen in New York and 1.1791-1792 dollars and 132.24-28 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
