NEW YORK, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted 50km NW of Fais, Micronesia at 23:41:16 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 10.0395 degrees north latitude and 140.1547 degrees east longitude. Enditem
