TRIPOLI, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- UN Support Mission in Libya on Friday said that UN Development Program (UNDP) has provided medical, educational, and infrastructure support for Libyan cities.

"UN supports health, education, and infrastructure in Benghazi, Kikla, Obari, Sebha, Sirte, and Bani Walid through the Stability for Libya Fund, led by the Government of National Accord and managed by UNDP in Libya," the Mission said in a statement.

"The fund finalized 15 civil works in Libya, including roads, schools and hospitals, and provided equipment and ambulances," the statement added.

Stability for Libya is a fund set up by the UN Mission, which aims to assist the Libyan government in providing services for the country.

Libya has been suffering political and economic crisis following the 2011 uprising that toppled former leader Muammar Gaddafi's regime. The country is plagued with insecurity and political division. Enditem
