Indian markets open higher

MUMBAI, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened sharply higher on Friday after the exit poll results indicated that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to be winner in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 33,533.59, 286.89 points or 0.95 percent up compared to its previous close at 33,246.70. Enditem
