British stocks down 0.65 pct Thursday

LONDON, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.65 percent, or 48.39 points, to close at 7,448.12 points.

Land Securities Group, the major commercial property development and investment company, soared 3.22 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Mondi and Mediclinic International increased by 2.96 percent and 2.56 percent, respectively.

The British asset management firm Standard Life Aberdeen was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.20 percent. ConvaTec Group, a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company, dropped 2.91 percent. British American Tobacco dropped 2.08 percent. Enditem
