China-made trams to serve Jakarta Asian Games

SHENYANG, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-four China-made trams have been sent to Indonesia to be used as sightseeing streetcars during the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, the manufacturer said Thursday.

The trams were made by Shenyang Liyuan Rail Traffic Equipment Co., Ltd. The total order included 240 tramcars, and the company said it plans to deliver them all by March of next year.

The first 24 trams will be assembled in Indonesia once they arrive. Enditem
