Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, marginally higher than its levels seen in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.76-77 yen compared with 112.49-59 yen in New York and 113.43-44 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1836-1837 dollars and 133.46-48 yen against 1.1820-1830 dollars and 133.03-13 yen in New York and 1.1738-1739 dollars and 133.15-19 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
