German shares lose 0.44 pct Wednesday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 57.89 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 13,125.64 points.

German energy groups RWE and E.ON lost the most among the blue chips, down by 11.29 percent and 3.93 percent respectively, followed by sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, which lost 2.78 percent .

German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp, European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 and airlines Lufthansa were the top three winners, rising 2.14 percent, 1.46 percent and 1.25 percent respectively.

RWE was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 509.09 million euros (597.48 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
