Group holds peaceful protest against U.S. Jerusalem decision in Sofia

SOFIA, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- About 200 people of Arab origin living in Bulgaria on Wednesday held a peaceful protest against the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The protest, organized by the local committee "Jerusalem capital of Palestine", occurred at the main entrance of the U.S. embassy in the capital city of Bulgaria.

During the one-hour event, protesters waved Palestinian flags and raised banners in Bulgarian and English languages such as "Jerusalem capital of Palestine", "Free Palestine" and "Trump's decision is illegal".

In an address during the protest, the organizers called for an immediate cancellation of Trump's decision. Enditem
