European sailors lead 3rd day of 2017 Youth Worlds

SANYA, China, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- The third day of the 2017 Youth Sailing World Championships witness European sailors setting up advantages in most of the events on Wednesday.

The girl's 29er race was dominated by sailors from Europea as 9 out of the 10 teams are from the same continent. The boy's 29er race was also dominated by European sailors with Rok Verderber and Klemen Semelbauer of Slovenia occupying the top place after Wednesday's race.

Giorgia Speciale of Italy and Emma Wilson of Britain took the top two positions of girl's RS:X with the same score, followed by Yu Ting of China in the third place. Teams from European countries also swept the top three places in Nacra 15.

The 2017 Youth Sailing World Championships, which will run till Dec. 15, are being held near Serenity Coast of Sanya with an entry of 380 sailors from 60 countries and regions. Enditem
