French shares gain 0.75 pct Tuesday

PARIS, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.75 percent, or 40.36 points, to close at 5,427.19 points.

A total of 35 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

European IT services corporation Atos advanced 7.14 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French information technology consulting corporation Capgemini rose 2.48 percent, and International leader in oil and gas projects and technologies Technipfmc gained 2.37 percent.

European real estate company Unibail-Rodamco went down by 4.06 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational mirror manufacturer Compagnie de Saint-Gobain edged down 1.47 percent and French multinational hotel group Accor lost 1.33 percent. Enditem
