GUIYANG, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Global Big Data Exchange (GBDE) based in southwest China's Guizhou Province has partnered with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in commercial data module development.

The GBDE said on Tuesday that the cooperation would facilitate the integration of commercial data in the two countries and bring about more targeted big data applications to meet diversified market demands.

The GBDE, the first of its kind in the world, started operations in April 2015. Headquartered in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou, the GBDE also has two operation centers in Beijing and Shanghai, as well as 11 transaction service centers across China.

Its tradable data capacity has exceeded 150 petabytes. Over 1,500 enterprises and companies have registered as members to exchange and trade data-related assets and services. Enditem
