Trump denies watching 4 to 8 hours of TV each day

WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday dismissed a New York Times report that he watches four to even eight hours of television each day.
"Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day - Wrong!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
"Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News. I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the 'dumbest man on television!' Bad Reporting," Trump added.
The president's social media remarks came less than one hour after CNN aired a segment on the report focused on his TV habits.
The NYT report, released on Saturday and quoting people close to Trump, said the president "spends at least four hours a day, and sometimes as much as twice" in front of a television.
The U.S. president begins each day around 5:30 a.m. by turning on CNN for news, then switches to "Fox and Friends," a pro-Trump program on Fox News, for comfort and messaging ideas, according to the report.
The report said Trump occasionally watches MSNBC's "Morning Joe" because friends suspect it fires him up for the day, noting that at night he "sometimes 'hate-watches' CNN to get worked up, especially Don Lemon."
Responding to Trump's Monday morning tweets, Clifford Levy, a deputy managing editor at New York Times, tweeted that the newspaper stands by its story, which was based on 60 interviews. Enditem
