NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 49km E of Tadine, New Caledonia at 17:30:14 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 21.4756 degrees south latitude and 168.3516 degrees east longitude. Enditem
