NAIROBI, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenya's major media outlets on Sunday.

-- Pressure is piling on opposition leader Raila Odinga to stop his swearing-in less than 48 hours to the event that coincides with Independence Day celebrations.

The government, diplomats, religious leaders and some allies in his National Super Alliance (NASA) have intensified efforts to ensure that the Tuesday event expected to unveil the People's Assembly does not include oath taking. President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday ruled out holding any dialogue with Odinga following controversial polls. (Sunday Nation)
