Airstrikes kill 12 insurgents in Afghan northern province

KABUL, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least 12 insurgents were killed during the airstrikes conducted by Afghan air forces in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, the defense ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

"The air forces targeted the convoy of militants in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province Saturday evening, killing at least 12 insurgents," said the statement, adding a vehicle used by militants was also destroyed.

Taliban militants haven't commented on the report so far. Enditem
